Ministering to Hostage Victims in Or Akiva

In our last post, I shared Rachel’s story. Despite her vision challenges, Rachel clearly saw God’s hand at work in providing her all that she needs.

Today, I am excited to share another story highlighting your generosity in action.

Helping 48 Families
Your kindness was recently seen in the city of Or Akiva. Or Akiva is a town of just over 19,000 people, located just inland from the coastal town of Caesarea (It was in Caesarea where Peter baptized Cornelius).

Teaming up with our friends from Love to the Needy, food and clothes were delivered to 48 families in need, making a huge impact in this community hosting many displaced and reloaded families. Most of the families relocated to Or Akiva from towns near Gaza, where the fight against Hamas continues.

A Missing Father
One of the families you helped in Or Akiva has faced an unimaginable hardship–their father was taken hostage into Gaza on October 7th. Arriving in Or Akiva with nothing but the clothes on their backs, they are now undergoing therapy for the trauma they’ve experienced.

Despite not knowing when their father might return, or if he’s even alive, your generosity is a source of strength for them. Your compassionate gifts are providing both material support and a lifeline of hope and recovery.

Thank You
To continue bringing hope and recovery to families in need, consider donating a gift of $35 or more. Your generous contribution will not only provide groceries to individuals and families in Or Akiva but will also extend support to communities throughout Israel facing similar challenges. A gift of $35 brings groceries to an individual in need, while a gift of $125 provides groceries for a family of four. Your generosity and influence won’t go unnoticed by those you’re serving, and together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families across Israel.

In our next post, Josh will introduce you to Eliana, an elderly woman in Ashkelon that you’ve directly impacted. See how and discover how thankful she is for your support.
