Qashar (kaw-shar’):
to bind, tie, or knit together physically or emotionally with love.

Our Vision & Mission

Qashar Ministries exists to see that every overlooked citizen and new immigrant to Israel has everything they need to have a healthy and prosperous future. Qashar Ministries strives to meet the practical needs of Israel’s overlooked families new immigrants, and the elderly while sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

We partner with proven ministries and individuals both Stateside and in Israel to provide practical help to Jewish communities in Israel.

Why Qashar?

Inspired by the bond between David and Jonathan found in 1 Samuel 18, we believe in the power of unity to advance God’s Kingdom. Just as the Holy Spirit brought these two together to fulfill God’s will, we are called to unite with believers worldwide to bless the Jewish people in Israel. Through our collective efforts, we strive to usher in God’s Kingdom until Jesus is enthroned. Join us in making a difference today.

Our Story

In 2017, Scott’s heart was set on fire to start Qashar Ministries. After serving others for over 40 years, he felt a strong calling to help people in Israel, a place he had never visited. On a life-changing trip with another Jewish believer in Jesus, Scott saw the challenges faced by Israel’s underserved and new immigrants. He couldn’t look away. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Scott started Qashar Ministries to bring help, hope, and healing to the Jewish people in Israel. Today, Scott’s passion still drives Qashar Ministries to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most in Israel.

Once a biker grappling with bitterness, anger, and substance abuse, Scott experienced the love of Jesus on New Year’s Eve 1972. This life-changing moment redirected his life towards forgiveness, joy, and freedom–igniting a passion to share his newfound joy with others.

For over 50 years, Scott and Susan have passionately lived and spread the Gospel, impacting thousands of lives across the United States, Canada, and Israel. Over the past 25 years, they have devoted themselves to bringing the love of Messiah to the Jewish people. Rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to the Lord, their mission continues to bring hope and transform lives.

Josh R.

In 2018, Josh led a group from his church on a tour of Israel. During lunch in Jerusalem on a hot June day, Josh, his dad, and a close friend met a young Jewish woman searching for God. It was during that lunch and talk that he felt the Holy Spirit’s calling to help the Jewish people in Israel.

Josh started as a volunteer with Qashar Ministries during the pandemic, working behind the scenes. In the spring of 2023, he joined Qashar full-time. He loves helping the Jewish people of Israel with practical aid and support. Josh was thrilled to be part of the “Backpacks for a Bright Future” project in 2023—bringing 10,000 backpacks to kids all over Israel. Seeing the smiling faces of the kids, parents, and teachers these backpacks impacted was a reward in itself.

Josh lives in Central Kentucky with his wife, Kylie, their two daughters, and their pit bull, Rosie. He enjoys the slower pace and beautiful scenery of the Bluegrass State after living in Los Angeles for most of his life. Josh is excited about his mission and invites you to join him in making a difference.
